Today we went on an 11 hour tour of the Snaefellsnes Penninsula in western Iceland. We did not see this part of Iceland on our main tour. This part of the country is absolutely beautiful as compared to what we saw in the southern part of Iceland.

Our first stop was at Mt. Stapafell, a 526 meter volcanic mountain.

The sights that we saw today were breathtaking. Yes, I could look up all the names but they wouldn’t mean anything to you or me, so just enjoy the pictures. In some of these pictures the Game of Thrones was filmed.

Tomorrow morning we go on a whale watch and then to the airport.
