The best thing about flying Business Class is the lounges. When the YaYa’s flew Emirates, they had a three story building in Dubai for Business Class customers. We are talking free massages, manicures, pedicures, hair salon, showers, gourmet meals and drinks at 3:00 AM. It was like five hours of living the life of the “Rich and Famous.” The Business Class lounge at JFK is not Dubai but it is 100% better than sitting at the gate. Lots of vegan food and wine. What’s not to love.

Just in case you are interested, here is a map of where we will be for the next three weeks (thanks to Peggy). You think I am organized? Not compared to her! We start the cruise down the Nile in Luxor to Aswan.

Business class was better than I expected. We didn’t have mattresses like Emirates but the seats reclined and were comfortable. They provided me with half of my vegan dinner. They gave me a very nice starter plate of quinoa, salad and veggies. Unfortunately, they gave my entree to Peggy who commented that it looked like chicken but didn’t taste like chicken. As they didn’t have another vegan entree they gave me a huge plate of sliced fresh fruit to make up for my lack of an entree. A win, win because I wasn’t all that hungry.
