Let’s start by saying that Discover Airlines (AKA Lufthansa) is not Qatar Air. We got to the airport in Tampa 4 hours before our flight so we could enjoy the Lounge that is always the best perk of Business Class. What do you mean there is no lounge? We ended up hanging out in PF Chang’s so all was good.

The flights were fine . The accommodations were on the basic end for business class but I slept more than I normally do at home so that is something. They were spot on with my vegan meals and much better than the “regular” food.

We arrived in Berlin about 1:00 PM. (7:00 AM your time). A delightful boutique hotel in a very walkable neighborhood. Teri and I already scoped out the grocery store that has more wine than food. Tonight we are trying out an Asia Fusion restaurant that Tommy our guide recommended. It was a surprise to see him because he wasn’t due until tomorrow. He looks to be a lot of fun.

Tomorrow we have a free day because we came a day early. The top choice is going on a river cruise to see sites that we will not see on the main tour,
