Main entrance

This hotel has to be the most unusual place I have ever stayed at. The rooms were caves cut into the side of a mountain. The bathrooms were gorgeous and all marble, The only problem was the steep walk up the hill on rocks. I felt very sorry for the busboys who had to schlep the luggage.

Part of the lobby
Sitting room with gorgeous ceramic fireplace.
Our room. Some had curved walls and very low ceilings.
The roof top gathering areas were hopping places at night. Music and fire pits all over. It was an easy walk from our room to bring a glass of wine to the sitting area near our room.
Mezze appetizer plate. We had these frequently but no one ever told us what we were eating or how to eat it. Breakfasts left a lot to be desired because nothing was labeled. Several mornings I had French fries for breakfast.

Absolutely captivating! This area has been on my bucket list since my sister went there probably 50 years ago. So glad you experienced it!
